The Best Damn Polish for £1.60

After 24 years on this Earth, I can finally say I have found my dream nail polish brand and the best part is this one comes at a very, very low price of £1.60.

Yes, you've read that right. £1.60.

Lancôme Miracle Cushion Foundation

You might have heard of this recent foundation release by Lancôme - it's the Miracle Cushion Foundation. It comes in this sleek, super portable, and small packaging that makes it perfect to take on the go. If you like having your foundation for touch ups, this is pretty handy. Now, don't get confused this isn't cream or powder, this is a liquid foundation. The packaging is inspired from those Korean BB and CC cream that come in the form of a cushion as well. I remember seeing Michelle Phan use it in one of her videos, and I loved the applicator.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo + Trio

I feel like I don't feature a lot of skin care on this blog, and to be honest it's because I never really had a clue about my skin. I still don't! My skin type used to be oily, oily, oily and nothing else. I'm all about the mattifying powders, the matte foundation, and the non-oily face products. I have been dying to try out the La Roche Posay Effaclar 3-Step Anti-Blemish System ever since I first heard about it... somewhere. I've always had trouble with spotty skin, and this is supposed to be one of the best skin care system. It retails for £32.50 at Boots, but you get 3 full-size products, so it's not that pricey in my opinion.

Rimmel Wonderfull Mascara

I actually took these photos months ago but I never got around writing the post! I can honestly say this is one of my favourite drugstore mascaras (right behind Maybelline's the Rocket) and I never realized how much I have loved Rimmel's mascara offerings until this one. I've used a few of Rimmel's mascaras before and I've always really enjoyed them. The Wonder'Full Mascara is infused with argan oil, which is a bit if an obsession of mine.

Urban Decay Vice 3

I absolutely needed to make a post about the Urban Decay Vice 3 palette, because it has become my new baby and I feel like it's such a versatile palette. I was lucky enough to get this for Christmas, and I haven't been able to put it down. It's such a beautiful palette. Urban Decay will probably always be my favourite makeup brand, because it isn't ridiculously expensive for high-end (I'm looking at you, Tom Ford), it's consistently good, and I have yet to meet a product of theirs that I didn't like.

Clinique All About Shadow 8-Pan Palette

I'm pretty sure my life is being taken over by palettes. What is it about these that makes them so appealing? Is it the convenience? The beautiful shades that all go together? The beautiful cases that protects the shadows? Either way, I'm a palette-aholic. My latest addition is this gorgeous one from Clinique which holds eight beautiful, pigmented shades that are perfect for a day to day basis. These shadows are not too glittery, they blend seamlessly, and are very soft.

Drops of Youth Eye Concentrate

The Body Shop have actually been dropping in a lot of new products lately, and as an employee, sometimes I get the pleasure of trying things out before they get released. One of their last releases was the Drops of Youth Eye Concentrate, which is a serum that comes in the form of a rollerball. It's meant to reduce lines, bagginess, and tiredness in the eye area. It retails for £19,which is a little pricier than most Body Shop offerings, but not as crazy as some high-end products. Plus, with the small amount needed to do both eyes, it'll probably last you a good while.

Maybelline ColorDrama Intense Velvet Lip Pencils

I noticed these little beauties on the Maybelline stand at Superdrug the other day, and since they had a big "NEW" sign above them, I had to have them. Obviously, right? These are the supposed dupe for the NARS Velvet Lip Pencil, which I've never used so I won't be doing a comparison. They're called the Maybelline ColorDrama Intense Velvet Lip Pencils, and I love them.

Soap & Glory's Drama Clean & Peaches and Clean

During a random trip to Boots, I picked up these new products from Soap & Glory. I've never tried anything from their skincare range before, and I'll be honest - I wasn't wowed. I got the Peaches and Clean (a cleansing 3-in-1 wash) and Drama Clean (micellar water). The products themselves have beautiful packaging, that great S&G smell we all love, and decent ingredients. Plus, S&G is fairly affordable, so I thought I had found some great high street products to use in my skincare routine.

Lush Catastrophe Cosmetic

I've always loved Lush products, and for the longest time I really wanted to try their masks. They always look like they would work really well, and nothing feels better than a good mask. It's the perfect add-on to a pamper evening. I recently stopped into Lush and treated myself to the Catastrophe Cosmetic Fresh Face Mask, which is made from blueberries (the best fruit in the world). It's a cleansing mask that will soothe redness, irritation and leave your skin feeling super clean.

It retails for £6.25, and you'll probably get a few uses out of it. The boyfriend and I have used it once, and our tub is still pretty full. You leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes, and then simply rinse it off. It hardens slightly on your skin, but leaves it feeling so smooth and clean. I really enjoyed the feeling of this mask, plus I love that it has so many good ingredients. The blueberries are full of antioxidants, like Vitamin A, C, and E. It's moisturising and soothing, the perfect mask for a quiet evening.

Have you tried any masks from Lush?
Any recommendations as to which one I should get next?

Garnier BB Cream

Ever since the whole BB cream trend started, I wasn't buying it. What does BB even mean? Apparently, it can stand for "blemish balm" or "beauty balm", depending on the actual benefits of the product. Plus, I didn't really see the need for it because I'm always going for a high coverage foundation. But you know what? There are days when you don't want to cake your face with makeup, but you still want to look presentable. Enter the Garnier BB Cream. I initially heard about this on Casey Holmes' Youtube channel. She's always mentioning this BB cream over any other, and has said it works really well on oily-skinned girls too. Well, I have been completely won over.

The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Body Butter

#1 perk of working at The Body Shop? Probably the freebies. #2 perk? Freebies of products that haven't been released yet! I was kindly gifted a tub of Wild Argan Oil Body Butter which is part of the Argan Oil range launching in early August. It's made with fair trade argan oil from Morocco, and apparently argan oil is also known as "liquid gold". How crazy is that?

Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet & Body Sorbet

The newest additions to The Body Shop are the Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet (£12) and the Body Sorbets (£8), which come in a wide range of scents - mango, pink grapefruit, strawberry, satsuma and moringa. I've been using these both these products since they launched and I've been pretty impressed.

Extra Virgin Minerals Liquid Foundation

If you weren't aware yet, this lucky girl is now working at The Body Shop, which means I am getting pretty familiar with all of their products. I've been using their foundation for almost a month now, and I gotta say I'm really impressed with it so far. It retails for £14, which isn't bad compared to most high-end foundation. I do considered The Body Shop high street makeup, because it's really affordable.

bareMinerals Matte Foundation

I never considered myself much a powder foundation girl. I have a lot of redness all over my face, oily skin, and general imperfections, so powder never seemed to be the right thing for me. I was always worried it wouldn't provide enough coverage and look cakey, which nobody wants. I gave it a try with the Tarte Amazonian Clay Airbrush Foundation but it didn't sit that well with me. It seemed to stick to the dry patches on my skin, and didn't provide the full coverage I wanted. Then, I got a sample pot of the bareMinerals Matte Foundation and that little pot lasted me well over a week! I was completely hooked, so I went ahead and purchased the full size pot.

Bite Beauty Luminous Creme Lipstick Duo & Tarte Amazonian Clay Airbrush Foundation

I've been going to Sephora more and more ever since I found out there wasn't one in the UK (how heartbreaking). I treated myself to two new things a few weeks ago when I was shopping with my cousin, but I only kept one. To be honest, I'm not sure if it was buyer's remorse or that the product simply didn't wow me enough for the price. Either way, I wanted to show you guys what I got and, most importantly, what I thought.

Milani Baked Blush

Oh my god, you guys have no idea how long I have been waiting to get my hands on some Milani products and about three weeks ago my wish came true. Someone had let me know online that Milani products could be found at most Loblaws Supermarket (I know, who would've thought?), so while my mom was shopping for food, I was shopping for makeup. If I wasn't on my spending ban, I would have probably bought a lot more because I have heard so many good things about this brand. The one item that kept being raved about? Their blushes, which are insanely beautiful. I was really upset that Luminoso wasn't avaibale (the only one left had been shattered), so I picked up Dolce Pink because it seemed like a flattering shade for every day.

Rimmel Stay Blushed! Liquid Cheek Tint

So, I found this little gem in the drugstore the other day, and I'm not sure if it's a new release or not? I had never heard of these, but I had been wanting to try out a blush that wasn't in powder form, so I figured this was a good way to see how I felt about cheek stains. The Rimmel Stay Blushed! Liquid Cheek Tints (what a mouthful) come in 5 different shades, which are: Pop of Pink, Sunkissed Cherry, Touch of Berry, Peach Flush and Apricot Glow. I bought Touch of Berry, because I find those shades to be more flattering on my skin tone. If I remember ocrrectly, these retail for about CAD$6-$7, but I know they're sometimes on special for a few dollars less.

Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser

Hey Cheekies, so I am back today with a makeup product review. I'll be talking about the Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser, which has been available for a few months now. Initially, I was really curious about this because it was only available in Asia and we had yet to see in any of the North American/European markets. Plus, I was a fan of the Baby Lips (although not so much now because I've found better products) and I was curious where Maybelline would go with this Baby line.

Bombshell Volume by LashBlast Mascara

I don't usually do product reviews, mainly because I find that I'm horrible at describing a product with words that aren't "awesome" or "shit". That's as far as my judgement seems to go. After spending months and months reading how other people review their makeup products, I thought I would give it a shot. These won't be a weekly thing, and I won't promise to always review the newest thing, but I will try to review products that interested me or have been debated in the beauty world. So, without trailing on too much, here goes nothing - read more a review of CoverGirl's Bombshell Volume by LashBlast Mascara.
