April Favourites

Another month has gone by, another favourites post has arrived. To be honest, I don't change up my makeup routine very often, mainly because I'm not buying new products every single week. I tend to buy maybe two to three new things a month, but I usually use them for a while until I buy something else.

The Sugar Shack

On Monday, the family and I headed to a local sugar shack, mainly because I had been dying to go to one for ages and they're all closing up for the season soon. Both of my cousins tagged along, and it was such a beautiful day. It actually started raining just as we were leaving, so talk about good timing. Drugstore Beauty Fix

Do you ever get the need to buy some more makeup? Who am I kidding, of course you do, I can't be the only one. There are days where I literally want to try every single shade and buy every newproduct that I've been hearing about. So sometimes, I splurge a teeny tiny bit. It's nothing crazy, after all this isn't a Sephora haul, so I haven't broken my budget. I went to Walmart, which actually always has the lowest prices, I'm not even kidding. The only downfall about shopping at Walmart is that you really have to check the products before you buy them to see that they haven't been opened. I try to avoid buying product that doesn't have a plastic packaging on it, or I always go for the ones in the back because they seem to be less touched. I can't tell you how many times I've grabbed a lipstick in Walmart only to open it and see it had been used - the horror.

Fabulous Thrift Find of the Week

I went to the Salvation Army with my mom on Monday, because she wanted to find some mason jars for storage. They're really trendy right now, and they always have a lot at the thrift store! Although we didn't actually buy any, I did find something that was petty amazing and it's these beautiful leather shoes.

March Favourites

Can I just give a lot of appreciation for my Aldo Sunglasses? They were on offer 2/20$ last weekend, so I snagged a round, leopard-print pair and these black, cat-eye sunnies. I'm so excited to wear them out, especially since we've been getting some actual sunshine. I was even able to wear my denim jacket, so I was a very happy camper. 

Thrift Haul - Eva B

I ventured out to the Montreal thrift shop Eva B a few weekends ago with my parents. I had no idea what this place was until a friend of mine actually tweeted about it (thanks @kevinngminghing!) If you guys have never been to this place, I would definitely check it out if you're ever in Montreal. It's at 2015 Saint-Laurent Boulevard and they're open Monday to Sunday. Honestly, I would have probably walked right past the shop if I didn't know the address, because the wall are completely covered up in graffiti and it actually looks rather sketchy from the outside. But it was a gold mine! I've never had as much luck thrifting as I did that day, so I've definitely fallen back in love with the concept.
