Last June, my cousin Sarah came and stayed with us over the span of two weeks. We took her down to Wales for a 3-day weekend, and saw a few of the wonderful sights that the boyfriend's home country offers. While I love exploring new cities and countries, Wales does hold a special place in my heart. We took her to St Davids, the smallest city in Britain.

A Capsule Wardrobe
I’ll admit, I’ve been feeling much uninspired with my wardrobe lately. A lot of the pieces (especially the ones for work!) have been worn to death, some of my favourite shoes had to be thrown out because they fell apart, and I still have things that I never wear. I decided to read up on the “capsule wardrobe” everyone seems to be talking about these days got inspired by this blogger (http://www.un-fancy.com/capsule-wardrobe-101/what-is-a-capsule-wardrobe-anyway/) and her amazing posts about capsule wardrobe. She survives a season (about three months) with about 37 items in her wardrobe. Only 37!

10 Things to Experience in Copenhagen
The boyfriend and I visited Copenhagen last April and it was probably one of our favourite trips. You can read more about what we got up here and here! I thought it would be good to compile a list of the top things you should do if you ever visit the Copenhagen. We did most of these on our 3-day trip, and still left wishing we had done more. It surprising that for such a small city, there is a lot to do in Copenhagen.

One Day in Bruges
I've left these photos in the back of my mind for so long, but it's actually nice to look through them months later and remember what a nice holiday we had in Brussels. During our 4-day trip, we took a train to Bruges (after watching In Bruges in the flat the night before!) and explored this quaint, medieval town for an entire day.

A Fresh Start
I'm not sure whether anyone has noticed or not, but my blogging has been, for a lack of a better word, pretty much non-existent at the moment. I could blame it on the busy work season that was summer, the lack of inspiration, or general laziness, but... I'm not sure why I stopped writing. Maybe because the last thing I wanted to do was open up Photoshop, edit through hundreds of pictures, and deal with the Blogger platform.
So I've changed a few things and a few things have happened.

Murals, Mussels, and Mushrooms
These are from our second and fourth day Brussels, as we spent Day Three exploring Bruges! The weather was really amazing when we visited Brussels, so much that we both regretted taking our jackets out on the second day! We somehow, miraculously, managed to get one of our jackets inside my teeny-tiny backpack.

Belgians, Beer, and Balls
Last month, the boyfriend and I traveled to Brussels for 4 days. It was one of those last-minute trips and while I didn't know much about Brussels, my lovely colleague Roxane (with whom a I traveled to Paris earlier this year and who is Belgian) told all about her wonderful city! We had such a great time in brussels, it's got a great mix of culture, food, and general fun things to do for everyone. We also had a cheeky day trip to Bruges, but that's for another post!
Anyway, read more below is you want to see this photo-heavy trip.

Our Weekend in København, cont
This is the second part of our weekend in Copenhagen, during which we cycled through the flat city, ate open-faced sandwiches, and hung out with the Little Mermaid. The picture above is a statue by City Hall of a bull defeating a dragon of some sort... Not quite sure I get it, but it looks cool, eh?

A Weekend in København
Last month, the boyfriend and I took took a weekend trip to Copenhagen and it was such a great time. we actually drove all the way from Pembrokeshire to Luton Airport on Thursday, which was completely exhausting, but a good drive either way. We've always been the sort of couple to go either way on a driver - we'll fight non-stop or it'll be a smooth ride. We made it to the airport on time, caught our flight, and landed in Copenhagen around 8 pm. Want to see what we got up in our two full days? Read below!

Empties #1
You wouldn't believe how long it's taken to get this post up. I've had the box of empties under my bed for months! Slowly, I've been collecting every product I finished, ending with a majority of body/bath products (makeup is so hard to finish!). I finally photographed the lot for you guys and here is the end result.

Lancôme Miracle Cushion Foundation
You might have heard of this recent foundation release by Lancôme - it's the Miracle Cushion Foundation. It comes in this sleek, super portable, and small packaging that makes it perfect to take on the go. If you like having your foundation for touch ups, this is pretty handy. Now, don't get confused this isn't cream or powder, this is a liquid foundation. The packaging is inspired from those Korean BB and CC cream that come in the form of a cushion as well. I remember seeing Michelle Phan use it in one of her videos, and I loved the applicator.

What I Bought in Paris
I had a very specific plan when I visited Paris last month: find the nearest French pharmacy and completely raid it! While I bought many clothes in Paris the first time around, I had a completely different mindset for this trip. I have seen countless reviews, hauls, and Youtube videos about specific French skincare brands and there were some products I absolutely needed to try.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo + Trio
I feel like I don't feature a lot of skin care on this blog, and to be honest it's because I never really had a clue about my skin. I still don't! My skin type used to be oily, oily, oily and nothing else. I'm all about the mattifying powders, the matte foundation, and the non-oily face products. I have been dying to try out the La Roche Posay Effaclar 3-Step Anti-Blemish System ever since I first heard about it... somewhere. I've always had trouble with spotty skin, and this is supposed to be one of the best skin care system. It retails for £32.50 at Boots, but you get 3 full-size products, so it's not that pricey in my opinion.

Au revoir, Paris!
This is the second installment of my Paris trip earlier this month. You catch up on all of the pretty pictures of Part 1 right here. After a long walk down the Champs-Elysés, we decided to stop for a spot of lunch in Montmartre, and we had the most beautiful view of Sacré-Coeur and had crêpes. Why are French crêpes so much more delicious than any other crêpes? I was in complete awe of the Sacré-Coeur (again, missed it the first time I went to Paris), it is such a beautiful building. I could have stood there watching it for ages.

Bonjour, Paris!
If you had told me that I would be visiting Paris, not once, but twice in the span of two years, I would have said they were crazy! I found myself spending three days in the capital city of France at the beginning of the month, and it was just as amazing as the first time. While I visited some of the same sights as last time (this was a work-related trip, so we needed photographs of the main sights), I also got the chance to discover some new places.

Valentine's Day: The Bull's Head
I'm going to lie: I fucking love Valentine's Day. Even when I was single, I loved it. It's a day that gets too much slack from all of the cynics in this world, and I don't understand why we would hate on a day that is all about love. Yes, it's commercialized, but it doesn't have to be. It's a nice day to stop, take a moment, and remember that we're surrounded by good people we love.

A London Day Trip
The boyfriend and I hopped on a train from Birmingham to London last month, and decided to spend a whole day in the capital city. It was a strange day, as the public transport system failed up the entire day (delayed trains, closd tube stations, etc) but we still managed to have a nice day and I know that I'll be back there soon! There's always something to see in London, and I don't think I could ever run out of things to explore.

Urban Decay Spring Collection
I was lucky enough to get an invite to the Urban Decay Blogger Event that showcased their new spring collection and wow! There's a reason why I always come back to this brand, it is definitely one of my favourite makeup brands - ever. You already know how addicted I am to their eyeshadows, their eyeliners are the best on the market (the only kind that never smudges on me), and their lipsticks couldn't be more beautiful. Let's just say anything Urban Decay always catches my attention.

Rimmel Wonderfull Mascara
I actually took these photos months ago but I never got around writing the post! I can honestly say this is one of my favourite drugstore mascaras (right behind Maybelline's the Rocket) and I never realized how much I have loved Rimmel's mascara offerings until this one. I've used a few of Rimmel's mascaras before and I've always really enjoyed them. The Wonder'Full Mascara is infused with argan oil, which is a bit if an obsession of mine.

Urban Decay Vice 3
I absolutely needed to make a post about the Urban Decay Vice 3 palette, because it has become my new baby and I feel like it's such a versatile palette. I was lucky enough to get this for Christmas, and I haven't been able to put it down. It's such a beautiful palette. Urban Decay will probably always be my favourite makeup brand, because it isn't ridiculously expensive for high-end (I'm looking at you, Tom Ford), it's consistently good, and I have yet to meet a product of theirs that I didn't like.

Boxing Day Haul
While I don't normally shop on Boxing Day (The deals on clothes were never that good back home in Canada!), I decided against the whole drinking-until-you-pass-out tradition that is Boxing Day in the UK - or is it only Wales? Either way, the boyfriend was planning on getting extremely drunk, while I chose to go shopping with his sister. We went to the St David's shopping center in Cardiff, and wow, have I missed Cardiff shopping.
